From Law School to Your Classroom: Personalized Academic Support
I am a law school graduate with a Doctor of Jurisprudence, also known as a JD, a degree held by only about 3% of the entire U.S. population. I also hold an additional Certificate of Concentration in International Law and Business Law. My legal education includes advanced coursework in international business transactions, business entities, payment systems, human trafficking law, and land use law, in addition to completion of all core legal requirements: torts, constitutional law, civil procedure, contracts, real property, legal investigation, professional legal conduct, and evidence. This training has equipped me with strong analytical reasoning, precision in legal writing, and a deep understanding of complicated legal systems.
In addition to my legal background, I have extensive experience teaching and mentoring students through the highly challenging Law School Admission Test (LSAT) and the complexities of the law school admissions process. For the LSAT, I work closely with students on the logical reasoning, and the reading comprehension, to help them develop effective strategies for specific question types and see more subtle patterns. I also provide comprehensive guidance on personal statements, diversity statements, resumes, and addenda, helping applicants present their strongest and most authentic candidacies for law school.
I also hold a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature, with a focus on Shakespeare, post-Cold War writers, the Victorian era, and a wide range of other literary periods. I am well-versed in classical literature as well as the texts and authors commonly taught in middle school, high school, and college curricula. My extensive and comprehensive academic background enables me to support students at all levels with analytical writing, close reading, critical thinking, and admissions essays across disciplines. During my undergraduate studies, I published my senior thesis, further strengthening my research and writing credentials.
As an educator, I am patient, kind, and consistently maintain a positive, encouraging attitude. I work with students of all skill levels and firmly believe that there is no such thing as a “dumb question.” My teaching philosophy centers on building confidence and recognizing that true academic improvement comes from feeling secure, capable, and empowered.
